Fox News TV Host, Geraldo Rivera on his nationally televised program “Geraldo At Large”, showed a photo the prosecution made of Caylee Anthony’s face morphing into a skull with duct tape! Mom, Casey Anthony is seen smiling next to the skull!
The defense hotly contested the video being released as evidence to the jury claiming it was to prejudicial.
The video was created by a forensic anthropologist in cohoots with the DA. They were trying to show that duct tape could’ve covered Caylee’s whole face causing death. That’s their theory. They a took a random photo of Caylee from the internet and superimposed it onto a picture of Caylee’s actual skull. The problem with the photo is that mom, Casey Anthony, is smiling right alongside Caylee morphing into a skeleton!
After Rivera showed the Caylee skull image on his Fox News Channel show, “Geraldo at Large,” last night, people were asking why……Rivera stunned many viewers with the image. He asked viewers to note that Casey Anthony was in the same photo, smiling, while her daughter’s face deteriorated……As for Rivera, he had an important point to make, but the skull image was drawing more attention. Rivera argued that the prosecution “had overplayed its hand” by using the photo of Casey smiling while Caylee’s face turned into a skull. “This case will definitely be overturned,” Rivera said.
To be fair, to show a photo of Casey Anthony right next to Caylee morphing into a skeleton is undeniably highly prejudicial. It makes it appear to the jury that Casey is happy her daughter is turning into a skeleton.
Judge Belvin Perry ordered the news media, notably, In Session and the Orlando Sentinel to blur or pixelate any pictures of Caylee’s skeleton.
Geraldo Rivera is now being criticized for showing the unblurred version of the picture where you can see Caylee’s skeleton. Personally, I think it’s a matter of taste. If he wants to do that, that’s his business. If you don’t like it, turn the channel. He’s not the only one. I’ve seen unblurred pictures of Caylee Anthony’s entire skeleton layed out on a table on blogs. I’ve decided not to show that picture unblurred on this website. The pictures are out there so if you’re going to criticize one man – then criticize everyone else who’s doing it.
Personally, I don’t see any difference in showing the unblurred picture of Caylee Anthony’s skeleton from the blurred picture. It’s still the same thing.
