When every witness walked into the room for the day, there was this woman bailiff. She’s blonde, hair in a bun with a square, hard looking face. Her job was to escort the witnesses to the stand. This creepy woman kept touching all of the witnesses on their backs and arms as they approached the stand. Are the bailiffs really suppose to be almost molesting the witnesses before they testify?
MALLORY PARKER Lee Anthony’s fiancé was the first to testify. She said Casey and Caylee had a special bond. Their relationship was “amazing”! Mallory Parker cried on the stand when describing how good a mom Casey was. Upon hearing this, Tot Mom, herself started to cry.
Looking at Mallory Parker, I had to wonder what was wrong with her – that she would want to marry into this crazy Anthony family???
WILLIAM WATERS Casey Anthony helped him to shop for his upcoming 4th of July party. Went out shopping at Target, IKEA and a restaurant. She watched his home during the party while he was outside playing kickball. During a phone call, Casey Anthony became angry at boyfriend Tony Lazzaro because he wanted to move back to New York. William Waters was suppose to go on helicopter ride with Casey but she texted and said she couldn’t come. He said that Casey Anthony appeared happy and never mentioned that Caylee was missing. Upon cross exam, Jose Baez, pointed out that in Casey’s World, she spoke of a job she had, how she would move in with a friend (Amy Huizenga), had a nanny and appeared happy – None of it was true! It would stand to reason that maybe her outward happiness was also a lie and not true.
KATHERINE SANCHEZ Worked at the Amscot check cashing store. It was in the parking lot of this store that Casey Anthony abandoned her white Pontiac Sunfire. Katherine Sanchez testified that on 6-27-08, she noticed the white car in the parking lot next to the dumpster. On 6-28-08, she noticed the car was still there, wrote down tag number, looked inside and saw a blanket on the back seat, called Orlando Police Department to report a vehicle abandoned in the parking lot. Her compliance officer told her to wait a day before having the car towed. Katherine Sanchez was off 6-29-08. She came back to work 6-30- 08 and had the car towed with Johnson’s towing company.
SIMON BIRCH was the operations manager at the tow truck company, Johnson’s Wrecker, that towed Casey’s car said the car. He now lives in Wisconsin. He testified that when a car is not picked up, the company could take possession of the title to resell it or have the car crushed! Simon Birch said when he approached the car it smelled of human decomposition. He said in his 30 year career working in waste management (garbage) he has been around suicides in cars approximately 8 times and knows the difference between the smell of decomposition and garbage. Simon Birch said that on 7-15-08, George and Cindy Anthony came to get the car. Cindy Anthony was agitated and complained about the $500 bill! George Anthony apologized for his wife’s outburst and went with Simon to pick up the car. George said that his daughter and granddaughter were missing. The car wouldn’t start so Simon accompanied George back out to get his gasoline cans, that appeared worn out, from George’s car. Simon Birch testified that when they opened the trunk, they noticed the strong odor of decomposition, flies and a white garbage bag. He tossed the white garbage bag into the dumpster on the property.

On cross examination, defense lawyer, Jose Baez, pointed out that A major source of business for Johnson’s Wrecker was the Orange County Sheriff’s Dept. Johnson’s was their tow yard. Baez asked him if he’d ever let someone drive a car away with evidence, even after George spoke of missing granddaughter. The day after the news broke and Simon Birch saw George and Cindy being interviewed on television, called them and told them about the white garbage bag still on his property.
GEORGE ANTHONY Casey Anthony’s dad testified that he Cindy Anthony found the notice at the front door that there was a certified letter for them at the Post Office. He said they don’t normally use the front door, they come in via the garage door. This was on a Sunday and the Post Office was closed. George couldn’t get the letter on Monday because of his new job so he waited until Tuesday. Went to the wrecker. Went back home to get Cindy to come with him to pick up the car. When Cindy Anthony arrived she was more forceful with the staff about the $500 bill and why they didn’t call sooner. George Anthony testified that when he was within 3 feet of the car he smelled an odor that reminded him of a human corpse. He remembered it from his days of working as a cop back in Ohio. He said he tried to start the car, then went back out to his own car to get his gas cans. Prior to opening the trunk, he said in a soft voice, “please God, don’t let this be Casey or Caylee”. When the trunk was opened, he saw maggots. There was also a white garbage bag with a pizza box inside and Arm & Hammer. The tow truck manager, Simon Birch, tossed the garbage bag into the dumpster. The court showed a pictures of the front seat of the car, the back seat of the car with Caylee Anthony’s car seat and some black high heeled shoes next to the car seat.
On cross exam, things were tense again between Tot Mom’s father, George Anthony, and the man that’s trying to save her life, Jose Baez. Jose Baez confronted George Anthony about if he was aware that there were 3 notices then a final notice. George said no. The DA’s objected that any other notice is not in evidence. Baez asked him if the round red cylinder gas can he took to the tow yard had duct tape on it. Baez pointed out that George Anthony was telling people at the tow yard that Caylee was missing. Baez suggested the reason George asked Simon Birch to walk around the back of the car with him when he opened up the trunk was because he didn’t want to be associated with any evidence in this case. George said he didn’t know the items in the trunk would be evidence. When Jose Baez asked him if he thought the smell in the trunk was stronger than the smell in the rest of the car, George Anthony got on the defensive, saying, “If you’re trying to trick me, you’re not going to trick me”! Then he answered no. Jose Baez confronted George Anthony, saying that as a former cop, if you smell human decomposition and you have people in your life who are missing – you call the cops. He said George never called Casey to see if she was okay. Baez said the reason George never called the cops is because he knew Caylee was dead! Baez also confronted him about his going to meet with cops secretly on July 24th 2008 and told them not to tell his wife and son. George claimed he was just cooperating.
ANTHONY LAZZARO was called next to the stand. DA Frank George tried to have admitted into evidence, instant messaging between Tony & Casey. The defense objected and the judge excused the jury for the day while he went over the content of the messages with the lawyers. In the messages, Tony Lazzaro wanted to come over to Casey Anthony’s house. She told him no but that he could come over in a few days. DA Frank George said this was the motive for murder: that the defendant was unable to do what she wanted to do, stay where she wanted to stay because she had to bring Caylee back home. She was locked in that home and held back by her daughter and her parents. – Judge Perry asked Frank George, “then why didn’t she kill her parents”?
